Relay for Life of Twin Valley

Main Event: begins at 1 p.m. on May 14 and until May 15 at 9 a.m. at Twin Valley HS, 4851 N. Twin Valley Rd., Elverson. Join local volunteers and participants for food, fun, games and entertainment for all ages, all to raise money in the fight against cancer. FREE admission, with nominal charge for food and team fundraising activities.

All Cancer Survivors and Caregivers Invited: to Dinner and Ceremony in their honor on May 14 at TVHS, 4851 N. Twin Valley Rd., Elverson. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. in school cafeteria and Ceremony and Special Lap begin 6:30 p.m. on the track. Event is FREE for survivors and caregivers. Pre-registration encouraged but you may register at the event.

Luminaria Ceremony: May 14, 9 p.m. at TVHS. All of the lights are turned off and the entire track perimeter is illuminated with bags of light representing our loved ones lost to cancer and those who still fight. Ceremony is FREE to attend.

Sr. Connections Noon Luncheon: at Conestoga Mennonite Church, Morgantown, for anyone interested in learning more on how to prevent cardiovascular disease. Following lunch, Dr. Gordon Donaldson will share on “Bale/Doneen and Beyond” about how we can make a better dent in the prevention of cardiovascular disease in the future.

Honey Brook Senior Citizens: meet at 11:45 a.m. in Honey Brook Presbyterian Church. Program will be “Chair Exercises” with fitness trainer Jennifer Bauer. All senior citizens welcome. Each person is asked to bring a covered dish to share and a friend.
