Kayak Down the Creek: 4 p.m. at Blue Marsh Lake – Stilling Basin parking area. Bring your own boat and paddle with us down the creek from the Basin to below the Berks Leisure Area. Water safety, local history, features of the creek and other water trails around the area will be covered before we launch. Participants must provide boat, life jacket and transportation. Municipal Merger Ceremony: On April 26, Strausstown Borough and Tulpehocken Twp. voted to merge, thus causing the Strausstown Borough to no longer exist as of July 1. Upper Tulpehocken Twp. Supervisors, Strausstown Borough Council President and Mayor will have a ceremony for the changing of the Strausstown Borough signs to the Village of Strausstown signs at 10 a.m. Signs to be changed are at the west side of Strausstown where East Rehrersburg Rd. comes into the borough.
