Karen Terri Ludwig shows Shillington resident, Bob Yost how to play a Hammered Dulcimer. Ludwig has been playing the Dulcimer for 8 years. She explained that her Dulcimer, a precursor to the modern day piano, is a percussion instrument. The number of strings determine the number of octaves; her Dulcimer has 68 strings - 3 octaves.
