Students at St. Francis Academy, Bally, held a walk to raise awareness of cancer. The walk kicked off their week-long ‘Penny Wars.’ Each grade had a jar to collect pennies. Any silver or paper placed in their jar was subtracted from the grade’s total amount.
The students raised a total of $852.94 for Laney’s Legacy of Hope in Berks County. Second grade won the ‘war’.
