Volunteer Comment: Feline leukemia virus will not survive outside the cat for more than a few hours in most environments. Laboratory studies have failed to provide evidence that FeLV can be transmitted from cats to humans. A FeLV cat is best suited to an adult household, and should be an only cat. Escapade is another especially affectionate kitty who would love to play and also lounge in a loving environment.
