Marleah Kline

Marleah (Miller) Kline, 75 of Fleetwood, passed away Nov. 17 at Reading Hospital, West Reading. She was born February 7, 1938 at the Reading Hospital to the late Amzie Joshua and Evelyn (Eberts) Miller. Marleah graduated from Tamaqua High and graduated from Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She enjoyed bird watching and walking at Hawk Mountain. She is survived by her sonsí Kevin B. husband of Alison and Douglas B. husband of Karen. In addition she is survived by her two sistersí Carol Girman wife of Michael and Sandra Besch wife of Robert. There are also four grandchildren, Kaleigh, Erin, Alexandra and Hunter.

Marleah was predeceased by her parents, her brother Amzie O. Miller and sister Diane Duncan.

A memorial service was held Saturday Nov. 23 at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Hamburg.

Helen Z. Yerger

Helen Z. Yerger, 87, formerly of Hamburg, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 in Pinebrook Personal Care Center, Orwigsburg. She was the wife of Ray C. Yerger, died March 13, 2001.

Born in Minersville, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Sember) Zaharchak. She was an active member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Tilden Twp. Helen was a loving wife, devoted mother and proud grandmother.

Helen is survived by one daughter: Marybeth A. (Yerger) Mell, Hamburg; one son: David R. Yerger, Pine Grove; and four grandchildren: Alexandria and Austin Mell and Clarissa and Andrew Yerger. She was predeceased by her son-in-law: Shawn R. Mell, died November 16, 2012; a brother: George Zaharchak; and two sisters: Mary Gontarchak and Ann Maley.

Daniel Lawrence Giancola

Daniel Lawrence Giancola, 35, of Hamburg, and formerly of Guttenberg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 22, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading.

Born in Engelwood, he was the son of Lawrence J. and Linda R. (Leggio) Giancola, Hamburg. He was a graduate of North Bergen High School.

Daniel had a great sense of humor and was able to make anybody laugh. He was the ďlife of the party.Ē

Surviving in addition to his parents are his sister: Kerry Lynn Soo Giancola, Guttenberg; his maternal grandmother: Gladys L. (Kennedy) Leggio, Hamburg; and extended family.

Funeral was held on Monday from Vainieri Funeral Home, North Berger. A Funeral was also be held on Nov. 26 at 1:30 p.m. from The Bridge Church 3561 Old 22, Hamburg, with a viewing beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial followed in Zionís Cemetery, Perry Twp. Betty Lou Herring

Betty Lou Herring, 79, of Lenhartsville, passed away November 17, 2013 in her residence. She was the wife of Irvin D. Herring.

Born in Allentown on August 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Marie V. (Gehringer) Kunkel. She was a member of St. Johnís Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Betty was also a member of the Scottish Rite Ladies Auxiliary of the Valley of Reading AASR. She had been employed by the Hamburg Area School District as Assistant Manager of the School Cafeteria, retiring in 1996 after twenty years of service. Betty was also employed as a waitress at the Virginville Hotel, retiring in 2011 after forty years of service.

Betty Lou and Irvin celebrated 58 years of marriage on Oct. 22 by enjoying four days at her favorite vacation spot, Cape May, NJ with her niece and husband. Betty Louís greatest joy in her life was taking her five grandchildren to dinner every Tuesday evening from the time they were small children up until last week before her passing.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son: Leroy C., husband of Kim Herring, Hamburg; one daughter: Lori M., wife of Randy Dunkelberger, Hamburg; five grandchildren: Lauren, Matt, Chris, Tim, and Mike; two step-grandchildren: Jake and Hannah; and a great-granddaughter who is expected in December. Betty Lou is also survived by her half-sister: Mary Ann, wife of Carl Herring, Allentown; two nephews: Mike Herring and Steve Herring and his wife Sharon; and a niece: Sherry Ann, wife of Sterling Stump, Lenhartsville. She was predeceased by her brother: Donald Clauss.

Services were held on Friday from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg. Burial followed in Dunkelís Cemetery, Greenwich Twp.
