MARSHALL T. ORTH Marshall Tommy Orth, 63, of Fleetwood, passed away on June 28, 2014 in his residence.
Born on August 2, 1950, in Ephrata. He was the son of the late Carl W. Orth and Nancy L. (Stirk) Orth.
Tommy a 1968 graduate from Fleetwood High School. He had worked for Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products Inc., Reading, for 25 years. He also worked at Sunsweet Growers, Fleetwood, for a few years. Tommy’s hobbies where fishing and roller skating.
Survived by his children; Marc Delcamp of Fleetwood; Richard L.T. Orth, husband of Nicole Orth of Kutztown; and Angela C.M. (Orth), wife of Bruce Seidel II of Kutztown. Also two grandchildren, Bret A. Orth and Kylie J. Orth. Other survivors include a sister, Cathy J. Kantner of Fleetwood; and a brother, Michael T. Orth, husband of Robin Orth of Bradenton, FL.
A viewing was held last Thursday evening at 6 to 8:30 p.m. from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. A funeral service followed at 8:30 p.m.

CLIFFORD G. SAYER, SR.Clifford G. Sayer, Sr., 82, of Mohrsville died Thursday, July 3, 2014 in his residence. He was the husband of Joan C. (DeLong) Sayer. They were married December 31, 1964 and celebrated 49 years of marriage.
Born in Greenwich Twp., he was the son of the late Daniel W. and Elsie (Sunday) Sayer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Cliff worked as foreman in the smelter at East Penn Manufacturing for 32 years, retiring in 1997. After his retirement, Cliff worked as caretaker at St. John’s Cemetery, Hamburg for a number of years. He served as chaplain at Behler-Hein Post #637 American Legion, Hamburg. He was also a member of Hamburg Moose Family Center No. 523, Hamburg Game Association, Hamburg VFW, Central Berks Lions Club, Hamburg Fire Company, Virginville Fire Company, Goodwill Fire Company, and Shoemakersville Fire Company. Clifford enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, poker, woodworking, attending the Jamboree in Centerport, and always enjoyed family gatherings.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 8 children: Alice (Sayer), wife of Mark Brieski, Leesport, Carol (Sayer) Smith, Hamburg, Michael A., husband of Marsha Sayer, Hamburg, Lorraine (Sayer), wife of Gary Keller, Okeechobee, Fl., Cindy (Sayer), wife of Darryl Spencer, Shoemakersville, Steven S. Sayer, Herndon, VA., Barry W., husband of Sue Sayer, Temple, and Clifford G. Sayer, Jr., Mohrsville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Carl W. husband of Bernice Sayer, Oley, and Dennis W. husband of Ardell Sayer, Walnuttown. He was predeceased by one son: Glen A. Sayer, who died May 6, 2011.

RUDOLPH ‘RUDY’ LEIMBACHRudolph ‘Rudy’ Leimbach, 93, of West Lawn, passed away July 2, 2014 at 4:50am in The Manor at Market Square.
He was the husband of Jean D. (Oswald) Leimbach, who passed August 13, 2013.
Born in Kutztown, he was the son of the late John and Hulda (Bernhart) Leimbach.
Rudolph was a 1939 graduate of Kutztown High School and served in the US Army during World War II. He was employed at CarTech as a machinist for 40 years, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kutztown where he was past secretary of the church council. Rudolph was a 32nd degree mason and a member of Masonic Lodge #62 in Reading, Scottish Rite and Rajah Temple Shrine.
Survivors include brother Paul Leimbach, Topton, 3 nieces and 1 nephew and special friends Glenn and Kim Chille and caregiver Tamika.

DANIEL J. WESSNERDaniel J. Wessner, 58, of Krumsville, Kutztown, Pa. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, June 29, 2014 in Maxatawny Township.
He was the husband of Cynthia D (Bond) Wessner having celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary June 8th of this year.
He was born in Allentown, a son of the late Carl J. and Katherine A. (Piger) Wessner.
Danny had a lifelong love of farming, having formerly worked for Wessner Brothers Farming and currently as a self employed farmer in Berks County.
He was a 1973 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He was also a member of the New Bethel Church, Kempton.
Survivors besides his wife includes two daughters, Jennifer R. Humbles of Collegeville, and Cheryl L. wife of Troy McLaughlin of Philadelphia; three brothers, Bruce C. and wife Louise E. (Rhode) Wessner of Kutztown, Dale W. and wife Sheila J. ( Rauch) Wessner of Kempton and Roy A. and wife Elizabeth R. (Sanders) Wessner; also three grandchildren Ava L. McLaughlin, Lily C.C. Humbles and Lincoln D.J. Humbles. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Carlene S. (Wessner) Reinhard in 2012.
Memorial Service July 5, at 11:00 AM in the New Bethel Church, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton, Pa. 19529, with a calling period beginning at 9:30 AM. Rev. David W. Blitch officiated. She was the wife of Leon C. Weiser. They were married August 19, 1950.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Ida (Liberacite) Schlener.
She was a member of Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ, Kutztown. Hilda worked as a manager for the former Gall’s Drug Store, Kutztown and as a clerk at the former Held’s Appliances and former Leh’s Jewelry, both of Kutztown.
Survivors: Husband; Godson Douglas E. Held companion of Stacie D. Jones, Kutztown; brothers Eugene Schlener, Macungie, Robert Schlener, Allentown, Franklin and William Schlener, both in Florida.

Robert formerly worked in the printing industry. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.

He was the widower of Gloria R. (Sterner) Balthaser, who died April 24, 2012.
Born in Kutztown, he was a son of the late Wayne J. and Ella M. (Stofflet) Balthaser.
Mr. Balthaser was a United States Army veteran. He was employed as a crane operator by Carpenter Technology Corporation, Reading, for 32 years, retiring in 1987. Mr. Balthaser had a love for hunting and the outdoors, was an avid racing fan, and loved spending time with his grandsons and great granddaughters.
Survivors: Sons, Ricky L., husband of Candace E. (Gerlach) Balthaser, Fleetwood, and Randy S., husband of Colette R. (George) Balthaser, Troy, Bradford Co., sisters, Betty (Balthaser) Moore, Blandon, and Kathleen (Balthaser) Welder, Kutztown; brothers, G. Bruce Balthaser, Kutztown, Malcolm, and Barrett Balthaser, both of Richmond Township. He is also survived by four grandsons, Eric L., husband of Carrie (Gargasz) Balthaser, Avon, OH, Brian T. Balthaser, Fleetwood, Scott R., husband of Leslie (Crandell) Balthaser, Colorado Springs, CO., and Bradley R. Balthaser, Atlanta, GA; and four great granddaughters, Alexandria, Kaitlyn, Lilly, and Harlow. He was predeceased by a sister, Jacqueline (Balthaser) Hums, and a brother, Donald Balthaser.

PHYLLIS A. MOYERPhyllis A. (Kutz) Moyer, 76, of Topton, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was the wife of Leon W. Moyer. They were married September 10, 1966.
Born in Lyon Station, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Mabel A. (Fenstermacher) Kutz.
Mrs. Moyer was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Rockland Township.
She was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School.
Mrs. Moyer was employed as a packer by Stauffer Biscuit Company, York, working in their Blandon plant from 1999 until her retirement in 2003. She had previously worked in the same capacity for the former Fleetwood Snack Company, Fleetwood, from 1990 until it’s closing in 1998. Prior to that, she was employed as a machine operator and floor lady by the former Marcus Manufacturing Company, Topton, from 1961 until 1989.
Mrs. Moyer was a member of the Kutztown and Lyons Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary and the Pikeville Sportsmen’s Association. She enjoyed jig-saw puzzles, completing puzzle books, being a member of a local card club, and traveling to see Elvis impersonators.
She was also an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, enjoyed watching professional tennis and professional golf, and the #1 supporter and fan of her grandson’s various sporting events.
Survivors: Husband; daughter, Leann M. (Moyer), wife of Robert L. ‘Bobby’ Hauck, Kutztown; grandson, Taylor R. Hauck, Kutztown, and his companion, Megan L. Kolis, Adams, Mass.; brothers, John, widower of Evelyn Kutz, Kutztown, and Roger, husband of Lucille Kutz, Macungie. She was predeceased by a sister, Erma (Kutz) Rhode, and a brother, Ray M. Kutz, Sr.
