As many of you have seen when stopping by the office lately or more recently as a notice in the paper, we have moved all of our operations to our main office at 24 North Hanover Street, Pottstown. The only change for you as readers is that the office operations are out of our main office. Nothing else is changing with the paper.
Because of the move, I will be setting up throughout the week at locations in the community should anyone want to stop by and speak with me. Every week I will put a little note in on where I will be and when as well as posting on our Facebook page.
Submissions from the community are a big part of this paper. News, photos, calendar listings and notice submissions are still very much appreciated. The best way to submit is to send me an email at ssingley@berksmontnews.com. I can also still be reached at 610-562-7515. Should you need to drop something off, you can do so at our drop off locations which are currently at the Hamburg Public Library at 35 N. Third St. in Hamburg and the Schuylkill Valley Community Library at 1310 Washington Rd. in Leesport. Please have all dropped off submission to the locations by the end of the day Thursday (be sure to check for business hours) as I will be collection the submission on Friday. All email submissions should be in by Friday at 5 p.m.
This week’s schedule is: Tuesday, May 20, at the Hamburg Public Library from 12 to 3 p.m. I will NOT be at the Schuylkill Valley Community Library this week due to the early deadline.
Next week’s schedule: Tuesday, May 27, at the Hamburg Public Library from 12 to 3 p.m. and Thursday, May 29, at the Schuylkill Valley Community Library from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The May 28 issue is an early deadline issue due to Memorial Day. Please have all submissions dropped off at drop off locations no later than Thursday, May 22, at 12 p.m. Please have all email submissions in by Thursday, May 22, by 4 p.m. Thank you.
