This is a letter of appreciation for Mr. Allan Angstadt at Kutztown Area High School for all the things he has done for our son and other kids that are bullied, that need self esteem and with learning disorders.

Some people choose a profession for different reasons. If it’s just for the income, or do they really have an interest in what they can contribute to a child’s special needs.

Well, Mr. Angstadt fits in the latter part. He goes well beyond what is needed for kids. When he sees a child lacking in something or falling back in school, he takes the initiative to talk and work with the child. It doesn’t matter if it’s day or night, Mr. Angstadt will contact the parents by phone, e-mail or sometimes ask if we could come into school and discuss his concerns.

He takes the time to come up with different strategies to work problems out with the child. When he thinks he has a program that might work, he brings it up to his high school superior, parents and child for their thoughts. The school has always gone with his suggestions.

Kutztown School District is blessed to have such a dedicated teacher. And I pray that one day all the children he helped will look back and say, “Mr. A was right.”

So, Mr. A, always know you are greatly appreciated for doing a great job.

A heartfelt thank you for going above and beyond the hard work you have done for these children.

He always says it’s his job, but it is good to know he is in this profession for all the right reasons.

Sincerely,Mr. and Mrs. GeistLenhartsville
