The crash occurred as driver Francisco Mundaray-Valerio, 27, of Reading, was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Martha Drive from Lancaster Avenue.

Productions in the past several years have successfully blended broad, modern humor with the presentation of actual literary works, including Shakespeare in 2013, Greek myths last year and this year, The Canterbury Tales, with a Monty Python twist.

All four area youth are members of the Blue Mountain 4-H Livestock Club. Each youth is raising a market lamb. The dynamic duo of Strouse and Strouse, Stephani and Sara Strouse of Auburn, are raising two lambs.

Ken Fetteroff Jr., owner of Forget-Me-Not Florists and his amazing team of designers assisted club members in arranging and decorating their pine wreaths.

My friends and I always had to find a ride to get to the dances, but my classmate, Doris (Baver) Schlenker, told me, "I used to go to Hummel's hoedowns.

Although the PA Dutch people speak in German dialect, my wife and I are actually French Huguenots, but very much considered PA Dutch, whose ancestors arrived in America to escape religious persecution in Europe.

<![CDATA[Reading Museum hosts 'all day' Breakfast with Santa]]> Santa will make his first annual visit to the Reading Public Museum for pictures and last minute wishes on Saturday, Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

McDonald's will serve its "All Day" Sausage Biscuits and Apple Dippers in the Neag Planetarium between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. After breakfast, families will head to the Auditorium in The Museum where children can have their pictures taken with Santa by Dave Zerbe Studio Photography.

<![CDATA[Local 4-H club competes at 2015 PA State Horse Show]]> Berks County 4-H Horse Club members participated in the 2015 PA State 4-H Horse Show from Oct. 23 to 25 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex.

All five Berks County 4-H clubs came together with their theme of Berks County Rides Around the World. They worked together and won first place for good housekeeping for Region 1, as well as overall Good Housekeeping Champion on Saturday, Oct.
