Giniewski, a sophomore at Exeter High School, is a member of Boy Scout Troop 333 out of St. Lawrence.

For his Eagle Scout project, Giniewski remodeled the bathroom and upstairs foyer at American Legion Post 626.

<![CDATA[Birdsboro Carnival raises money for improvements]]> The 17th annual Birdsboro Carnival was held recently to raise money for repairs and upkeep around the Borough.

"This year we need to replace the flat roof over the gym lobby," Joe Germani, Director Birdsboro Community Memorial Center, said.

Christina Cleveland, who took her grandson, Talon, to the carnival, was pleased with the event.

<![CDATA[School bus returning from field trip collides with car in Kutztown]]> A school bus full of children returning from a Crayola Factory field trip collided with a car on Route 222 in Richmond Township at about 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 16..

There were no serious injuries reported. All 23 children were transported to area hospitals for evaluation. Several children were treated for minor injuries, according to Fleetwood Police Chief Steven Stinsky.

The recommendation of the 2014-2015 HP Financial Computer lease was approved by the Boyertown Board of School Directors at their meeting Tuesday, April 8. The Technology Plan was presented to the Finance Committee in January of 2014.
