<![CDATA[Drug roundup nets arrests in Birdsboro, warrants in Boyertown]]> Reading >> Berks County Detectives have procured warrants for 28 people in a drug roundup, including a teenage girl and a man from Boyertown.

A woman from Birdsboro was among 16 that had been arrested by Wednesday morning.

The warrants were the result of a year-long investigation, police said, based on confidential tips from Berks County residents, according to a press release from the Berks County District Attorney's Office.

The ensemble achieved the score of 80.0 at championships.

The percussion ensemble has been rehearsing two nights a week since December at Twin Valley High School.

The suspects were wanted for various violations of the PA Controlled Substance Act, specifically delivery of controlled substances, which included heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs.
