A crowd of KU students, faculty and local community members gathering in the McFarland Student Union Multipurpose Room. Cheerleaders lined up in front of the side entrance while the KU Marching Band played.

<![CDATA[Kutztown Environmental Advisory Commission hosts post-winter Sacony Creek cleanup]]> "You feel like you're in a rose garden," said Becky Weller while picking up a piece of trash near the Sacony Creek on Sunday, March 22.

Volunteers from the Kutztown Environmental Advisory Commission and Kutztown University dodged trees and thorny bushes to clean trash along the creek on Constitution Boulevard for one of a few annual cleanups.

Christman is one of 1,007,277 people to enter the nationwide sweepstakes in 2014.

<![CDATA[Easter Bunny rides train; diesel locomotive transports Bunny and passengers from Kutztown Train Station to Topton]]> This year, the Easter Bunny will arrive in Kutztown by train, announced Mike Bast, President of the Allentown and Auburn Railroad.

An Easter Bunny train will make the three mile, 40 minute trip to Topton and back March 28 and 29 and April 4 carrying passengers and the Easter Bunny, who will visit with each child and leave a small chocolate present.

Mellany Knobl, 41, pleaded on charges of burglary and conspiracy for a July 18, 2012, break-in of a home in Washington Township on Old Route 100, according to court documents.

Due to an injury, League President, Holly "Hollywood Crusher" Jester didn't skate in Sunday's bout, but was excited for the team's 4th season saying "We (RDG) have become more of a team and work together more since we began playing derby.

The meeting commenced with the Personnel and Public Relations committee, headed by Linda Lash. Discussion was entertained in regard to Board approval of two long-term substitute teachers, three part-time aides, aquatics staff, and regular substitute teachers.
