Subtitled "Guts, Glory & Glitter," the show featured the video biographies, talent performances, "formalwear," and "swimwear" of 14 senior contestants at the Daniel Boone High School on April 30.

"Down to eARTh" is dedicated to the environment and features works in all media including painting, drawing, sculpture, video and digital art employing any type of ecological or environmental connection.

The Perry PTO and I challenged the students at Perry to save their dimes. Each class was given a plastic bottle.

School directors voted, 6-0, to hire Dr. Richard J. Mextorf as the district's next superintendent at a salary of $170,000.

Mextorf, 52, will replace Steven P.

The group was at the school board meeting to protest a proposal before the board to contract with a food-services provider and eliminate the positions of cafeteria workers as school district employees.
