The program is part of a larger ministry using NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) principles to teach students, from 10 years old to senior adults, the skills of archery. <![CDATA[Community group makes more than 600 fasnachts for local groups]]> We are called to love one another in love. Some feel that love can be obtained thru one's stomach. On Shrove Tuesday, Feb. 17, the Hamburg Community Group from Fleetwood Bible Church did just that. They traveled to Hope Rescue Mission in Reading to make more than 600 fasnachts.

Rich Bracy, community group leader, used his late grandmothers' recipe as his guide.

<![CDATA['Believe It or Not' is the theme for Strausstown women]]> For their February meeting the members of the Woman's Club of Strausstown were treated to a two-part program incorporating a look back at one of their successful activities and a quiz to determine how well they know each other.

The look back was a lovely slide show set to soothing music, with all of the pictures coming from the properties featured in the club's 2012 garden stroll.

Before we married I knew he was a sports nut. On our dates he either wore his Penn State Nittany Lions shirt, or a favorite baseball shirt with "Phillies" blazoned on it in red. I even had an inkling he played golf when he wore a hat with USGA Titleist printed on it.

<![CDATA[Strausstown scouts lead service for Scout Sunday]]> Cub Scout's and Boy Scout's of unit 144 in Strausstown provided a Scout run service for Scout Sunday Feb. 8 at Zion Blue Mountain UCC. This is the first Scout Service with Zion's new Pastor, Pastor Josh Knappenberger. The Scout Unit chartered by the Lions Club of Strausstown presented the Peace Light to the church, which they had received at a Wreaths Across America service at Indiantown Gap National cemetery.
