National Penn, headquartered in Allentown, has $9.6 billion in assets, $6.7 billion in deposits and 124 banking offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.

<![CDATA[Wawa opens 22nd store Friday in Douglass (Mont.)]]> About 100 people turned out bright and early Friday morning, Aug. 7, for the opening of the area's newest Wawa -- the company's 22nd opening of 2015. The store is located at 1111 Grosser Road in Douglass (Mont.).

The opening included a ribbon cutting, free coffee, specials and fanfare. It also featured a Hoagies for Heroes hoagie building competition between Gilbertsville Fire Department and the Douglass Township police department facing off in a sandwich-making battle.
