The Upper Perkiomen A Choir will present a message in music at Huff’s Union Church (Hereford township) on Sunday, March 9 at the 10:30 worship service. A reception in honor of the choir follows the service. The A Choir is directed by Mark Thomas.

Sunday, March 2, worship is at 8 & 10:30 a.m. There will be Holy Communion at both services.

Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. Buildings & Grounds committee meets.

March 2 at 9:15 a.m. Confirmands meet.

March 2 after the 10:30 worship service there will be a congregational meeting.

March 5, Ash Wednesday, service is at 7 p.m.

March 5 after the service, Ladies Aid will meet.

The Bell Choir practices on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.

The Senior Choir practices Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.

The Children’s Choir, practices on Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m.

Maidencreek Church

Sunday March 2, Maidencreek Church, 261 Main St., Blandon, will celebrate Transfiguration Sunday. Five youth will receive first Communion.

Ash Wednesday, March 5, Maidencreek Church will hold a “drop in time” from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. to receive Ashes and Communion on your way to work or school. Everyone is welcome. A worship service will be held at 7 p.m. with Ashes and Communion. The Maidencreek Players will present the scripture.

St. John’s Lutheran Church is having an All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast on March 15, from 8-11 a.m. The menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, ham, potatoes, fruit salad, toast, juice, coffee, tea. Under age 3 are free. There’s also a delicious variety of soup for sale as take-out in quarts and pints. All proceeds go to support St. John’s community outreach program to help local families. So come enjoy breakfast, take home lunch, and help your neighbors!

This week at Salem Church: Our Coffee Fellowship was at 8:30 a.m., followed by our Worship Service at 9 a.m. and Sunday School at 10:30. Pastor Dave Long presented the message “Becoming an Olympian of the Faith” based on I Corinthians 9:24-27. Our greeters were Ed and Rosie Manson. Our nursery attendant was Gale Pyle, and our Junior Church leader was Dena Marie Bruno.

Upcoming Events: Our Men’s Group meets Mondays at 6:30 p.m. for dinner, followed by Bible Study at 7:30 p.m. Women’s Bible Study meets every other Tuesday at 7 p.m. Our Sportsmen’s Banquet is Saturday, March 8. Time-Out for potty-trained toddlers through 6th grade is Friday, March 28 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Arch St., Fleetwood will be hosting on Saturday, March 1 at 9 a.m., The World Day of Prayer event “Streams in the Desert.” The program was written by Egyptian women. A continental breakfast will be served. Helenirene Kuehne, a retired art teacher from Kutztown, will be the speaker, she has traveled to Egypt and her archeologist son lives in Egypt. Purchase tickets at the door.
