The Community Home School Learning Group students presented their play, ‘You Can’t Take it With You’, which is a comedy in Three Acts by Moss Hart & George S. Kaufman. The cast and crew were made up of homeschoolers, who are part of the Community Home School Players, and who all attend the Community Home School Learning Group. They were enthusiastic to perform last weekend.

‘I loved it,’ said Ben Green, who performed as Boris Kolenkhlov. ‘Creating Kolenkhov had given me the opportunity to discover and improve upon talents and abilities I didn’t even know I had. Becoming someone I’m not is a cool dynamic I get to enjoy.’

‘As a senior, I had been a part of many aspects of the play,’ said Kristen Colmery. ‘From stage crew to makeup and costumes and now to the lead role in my final year. Looking back on where I started, I see how blessed I have been to be a part of this group. This show was definitely not one to miss.’

‘I had enjoyed being in this drama production as well as many others,’ said Robert Leamer, who stared as Martin Vanderhoff. ‘Grandpa symbolized my attitude toward real life and I can really relate to my character.’

The play was performed on Friday, March 21 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 22 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., in the Twin Valley Middle School auditorium.
