The Harlem Wizards, a professional basketball team based in New Jersey, will take on the team of Benfer’s Pride in the Tulpehocken Jr/Sr High gym on Sunday, March 30 at 2:30 p.m. The Wizards are a team who entertain crowds with their basketball tricks. Dancing, joking and fun is what they do best!

Benfer’s pride is a team consisting of service-oriented people from the Bernville community. The team is named after the principal from the Penn-Bernville Elementary School, Mrs. Bonnie Benfer. Mrs. Benfer will be retiring in December 2014 after a career spanning 34 1/2 years in public education. Her first year of teaching was in the Eastern York School District where she instructed physical education to elementary children and coached basketball and track. Mrs. Benfer was a jr/sr high physical education teacher and coached junior high girls basketball, varsity boys and girls cross country, and varsity girls track and field.
