It seems like only yesterday that many of the children in our Pre-Kindergarten graduating class started at The Whole Child Learning Center as infants, and now we’re preparing to send them off to school and their next step in life’s journey. We are very proud of the children, their many accomplishments and the friendships they developed. May 31st was the day the Whole Child Learning Center’s Pre-Kindergarten class was able to show off their talents…and that’s just what they did. The celebration was held at the Community Evangelical Free Church with many family and friends present to share in their special day. Everyone was captivated by the amazing performance of the children, who were most eager to show off what they had learned this year. The graduates not only sang, but incorporated dance, sign language and Spanish and German into their performance, which really highlighted how exceptional each one of these graduates is. The ceremony was a tribute to all of the hard work the children had put in throughout the year, and it brought tears to everyone’s eyes to see just how much each one had grown. As emotional as the day was, it was a fun-filled event, and one that will be remembered forever.

Special thanks go out to Miss Donna, Miss Karen and Miss Kathy for doing such a wonderful job teaching the children and preparing them for kindergarten. The love, guidance, and support that these teachers gave to their Pre-Kindergarteners would be hard to match.

We are happy that many of the WCLC graduates will remain with us in our before and after school programs, but for those who are moving from the area you will forever be in our hearts. It is always nice to hear those sentiments returned as one of our families recently wrote:

‘I just wanted to thank all of the staff, especially Kathy, Kim, Kendra, Linda, Donna, and Karen for putting together a beautiful Pre-K Graduation ceremony today. It was amazing watching all of the children on stage, performing and singing. You all did such an amazing job with our children and I am forever grateful. It is so obvious how much each of you care and love our babies. You all always go above and beyond and today just blew me away! Thank you again for all the wonderful memories.’ Amanda D.
