The Bridge Church (TBC), 3561 Old 22, would like to extend an invitation to the following:

The Bridge Church Sunday Morning Worship Service times are at 9 a.m. & 11 a.m. All of our Bridge Street Kid’s Ministries meet downstairs where you will be able to check-in your child before each service begins. Bridge Street Kid’s Ministries range in ages from 0 thru 4th Grade.

On Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m., we have Momentum Youth in the TBC Youth Room for students entering 7th through 12th grade. We also host 56 Club for all students entering 5th-6th grade in the fall. Students in 5th through 12th grade can be dropped off and picked up in the youth room at our side entrance. Our adult connect classes and children’s programs will resume on Wednesday nights in September.

Fusion Young Adults is hosting their bi-monthly service at the Journey Café on Sunday, Aug. 10 at 6:30 p.m. Join us for worship led my Ashley Mason and a relevant message brought by guest speaker Matt Kay from Campus Crusade for Christ! Salem Belleman’s Church, 3540 Belleman’s Church Road, Mohrsville, will be holding its regular Sunday services at 7:45 and 10:15 a.m. and Sunday School at 9 a.m. in the Old Church on Sunday, Aug. 10. The Old Church was built in 1815 and is on the National Register of Historic Structures in America. It features a hand-pumped organ located in the balcony and a unique wine-goblet-shaped pulpit. All are invited to attend this unique worship opportunity!

Salem United Methodist Church Shoemakersville

Welcome to the corner of Sixth and Main Streets in Shoemakersville for our 9 a.m. worship service. The morning scripture, Matthew 14:22-33 will be read by Karen Kershner and Sonja Rollman will have the Children’s Message.

The craft group will meet Sunday evening at 6 p.m. to make new bookmarks for the hymnals. All materials are provided, but many willing hands will make the task go quickly. There will be refreshments.

Administrative Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 11 in Fellowship Hall. We are beginning to plan fall services and activities, so please attend this meeting.

Leadership and Nominations Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 18 in the Parsonage. We are preparing for our Annual Charge Conference which will be on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Game Day Pinochle will meet in Fellowship Hall from 1 to 4 p.m. Please bring a snack.

The Worship Committee has set Sept. 14 as Rally Day. We will have a Churchwide Talent Show. All manners of spoken, sung, visual and performing arts are welcome. Look for a sign-up sheet.

Pastor Bill and Connie are planning to lead a small group study of the movie “Son of God” after worship services(during Sunday School) in the fall. It was developed by the Rev. Rick Warren, and will feature six sessions of viewing and discussion of the movie, which grossed many millions in theaters in 2014.

Hamburg Seventh-day Adventist Church

Our Hamburg Church would like to give you an invitation:

We are a Bible based Church located at 22 Willow Rd, Hamburg.

Our Service times are: Bible classes for all ages at 10 a.m. followed by our worship hour at 11:05 a.m. A vegetarian fellowship meal is served to our guests and visitors each Sabbath after the service. Everyone is welcome.

SABBATH MORNING (Saturday): Aug. 9, 11:05 a.m., Pastor Alex DuBee will share the Word of God with us. There will be a vegetarian meal for our guests and visitors following the service.

They meet at our church facility from 6-7:30 p.m. The Pathfinders are for ages 9-18 and they meet at the Blue Mt. SDA Elementary School from 6:30-8 p.m. The Pathfinder Club is preparing for a World Wide Camporee in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to take place in August of this year. This major event takes place once every 5 years. Many, different countries will be represented.

FRIDAY EVENING: Adventist Youth meeting in the Fireside Room at 7 p.m.

VEGAN CLUB: For all who may be interested in a vegan or partial vegan lifestyle. Takes place the third Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. All are welcome.

The joy and the blessing of the Sabbath begin this Friday evening at 8:05 p.m.

Evangelical Lutheran Friedens Church

Special music was provided by Gladys Oswald and Luanne Reese. The August Sanctuary Candle was presented in memory of Everett Erb, Sr. and Katherine Erb by their daughter, Deb McCann. The flowers were presented by Larry and Barbara Sands in honor of their wedding anniversary. The bulletins were sponsored in honor of the 29th birthday of Carolyn Sienzant by her grandparents, Paul and Joyce Zerbe and the inserts were in honor of the birthday of Gladys Oswald.

St. Thomas Church

Special musical selections were provided by Michele and Nicole Davis. The guest organist was Carol Zeigler. The altar flowers were presented in honor of the wedding anniversary of Kelly and Barry Ackerman by Brayden, Emily, Mom and Pop B., Amy Lance, Josiah, and Kendall. The single rose was presented in memory of Albert J. Kraatz by his family. Natalie Jonas was the Acolyte. The Shoebox items for August are school supplies. There will be a combined worship service in the sanctuary at 10 a.m. on Aug. 17 followed by a covered dish picnic in Beatrice Hall. Adult volunteers are needed to help with the Nursery and Youth Ministries.

St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran “Smoke” Church

St. Paul’s invites you to join us on a Sunday morning for worship service at 9 a.m. Our pastor is Elna Stratton and our Organist/choir director is Donald Ryan. Rayne Michele Mathieson and Wesley James Mathieson, children of James and Laura Mathieson, and Logan Xavier Gibson, son of Victoria Selig and Joseph Gibson were baptized on Sunday, Aug. 3, and welcomed into the church family. Sunday, Aug. 10, we begin worship at 9 a.m. Elaine Balthaser is our guest organist. The Rev. Steve Shipman will lead our worship service. Pastor Shipman is the Executive Director of Lutheran CORE. Lutheran CORE is a community of Lutheran Christians seeking to mobilize confessing Lutherans for evangelical renewal. They connect more than 5,000 individuals, 400 congregations, 20 institutions, and renewal groups across North America. CORE offers resources and encouragement to congregations, laypersons, and pastors to help them stay focused on our Lord’s Great Commission and to uphold the final authority of the Bible on all matters of faith and life. They connect orthodox, traditional Lutherans across denominational lines.

Pastor Shipman will also speak during the 10:15 Adult Sunday School Class in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Friedens Church, Shartlesville

A blood drive is scheduled for Saturday Sept. 6 at Friedens Church in Shartlesville from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The drive is in Honor of Elijah Hoss, a 6th grade student at Hamburg Middle School, and a resident of Upper Bern Twp. who is diagnosed with Leukemia.

Donors need to be at least 17 years old and weigh minimum of 110 pounds. Call Marie Strause at 610-488-5072 to register.

Salem-Berne United Methodist Church
