Good friends, good food, good entertainment and good remembrances were intertwined as the Shartlesville Lions Club held its annual picnic recently at the Shartlesville Park. Lions members did the cooking, all did the eating and David Kline filled the air with recollections, banjo and guitar music and a set of strong vocal chords. Lion John Messner even joined in with his harmonica. The evening was topped off with the presentation of a plaque by club president Peggy Seitzinger to Paul Shade for all the years he spent in Lionism.
