In celebration of National 4-H Week (Oct. 5 – 11), The Rocky Mountain Riders 4-H Club of Fleetwood participated in the Fleetwood Homecoming/Halloween Parade and the Topton Halloween Parade with their float, “Rocky”, the corn horse.
In addition to promoting 4-H in the parade, Rocky Mountain Riders performed a community service project of cleaning up candy wrappers and trash along the parade routes. While wearing their 4-H aprons and carrying
4-H trash bags. Club members Annalyse Treat, Daphne Smith, Adelle Mitchell, Tyreney Lewis, Aiden Gulish, Morgan Pleva and Sianna Ream along with parents and friends sacrificed their candy hoarding opportunities to instead leave the community better than they found it. The club received and appreciated all the cheers and positive feedback from the crowds.
