Conestoga Christian School technology students attended the Regional Technology Student Association Conference on Feb. 7 at Conestoga Valley Middle School in Lancaster.
Competing against students from many large local public school districts, CCS students made a strong showing in multiple categories. Middle school students who took home one or more first place awards (as well as additional awards) included Ben Dayton, Caleb Schreier, Dawson Carter, Jared Jones, Ethan Vannoy, Spencer Colon, Mark Combs, and Zachary Johnson. Categories included Dragsters, Electrical Applications, Inventions and Innovations, Problem Solving, Structural Model, Video Game Design, and Tech Bowl.
High school student, Michael Boerman snagged three first place honors in Technical Sketching and Application, the Bio-Medical Essay Contest, and the Tech Bowl (written). Other high school students who placed in various categories include Nobuo Takahashi, Carissa Earnest, Aaron Carter, Tyler Brenner, Cody Zook, and Ji Wun Kim. High school categories included CAD Architecture, CAD Engineering, Prepared Presentation, Structural Design and Engineering, and Technology Problem Solving.
Many of these students have qualified to compete in the TSA State Competition.
