Kutztown University’s Council of Trustees recommended two presidential candidates to move forward to the Office of the Chancellor of Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education on Monday, February 16.

The recommended candidates in alphabetical order are Dr. Lorrie Clemo, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the State University of New York at Oswego and Dr. Kenneth Hawkinson, Provost and Academic Vice President at Western Illinois University.

The two were recommended following a national search and in accordance with Board of Governors Policy 1983-13-A.

State System Chancellor Frank T. Brogan will submit the two names to the System’s Board of Governors for consideration.

“I would like to thank the members of the search committee for their dedication and service,” said Jack Wabby, search committee chair and chair of the KU Council of Trustees. “I would also like to thank the campus community for providing valuable feedback. This has been a very thorough process, and I am confident we have recommended the two best potential leaders for KU.”
