Twin Valley Elementary Center will hold its annual 2015 Spring Carnival on Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The fundraising event is sponsored by TVEC’s PIE PTO (Partners In Education) group. Admission to the carnival is free, and it’s open to the entire community, not just TVEC families.

The indoor event will feature games and prizes for the kids (game tickets are $.25 and can be purchased at the door), a DJ, a silent auction, basket raffles, face painting, sandy candy, temporary tattoos, Caernarvon Township representation, local sporting clubs, and much more. Twin Valley cheerleaders will perform, and there will be a dance presentation by ReMix Dance & Fitness. Food, donated by many local businesses, will also be sold in the school cafeteria, and will include hoagies, pizza, hot dogs, soft pretzels, sno-cones, nachos, cookies, and a variety of drinks.

A Silent Auction will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the TVEC LGI (large group instruction room). Items for bidding will include a $5,000 orthodontic package donated by Dr. Jeffrey Leiss of Elverson, 4 Walt Disney World Day Hopper Passes (valued over $500), tickets to sporting events, golf courses, gym memberships, museums and attractions, and restaurant gift certificates, to name a few.

“The Silent Auction is a fantastic fund raising opportunity for our school,” says Mr. Craig Sell, TVEC’s principal. “We have so many terrific donations for people to bid on, ranging from $25-$400, so there is something for everyone. This annual event raises money for our Partners In Education PTO and the funds are used for many things within the school, such as field trips, assemblies, after-school clubs, student yearbooks and various classroom needs,” Sell adds.
