    It was a weekend to remember for Boyertown senior Dylan Eddingher at the PIAA Track & Field Championships at Shippensburg University’s Seth Grove Stadium May 22 and 23. Eddinger came home with a third-place bronze medal in the Class AAA 800-meter run withd a time of 1:51.19 in the finals.

    For Exeter Township High School senior Cassandra Whitmoyer, running is important. So when she went shopping for a college to attend next fall, she wanted a college where running was important. In the end, that college was Edinboro University. She recently signed her letter-of-intent to run cross country and track for the Fighting Scots.

    When the Berks County League baseball season began, the Governor Mifflin Mustangs were the odds on favorites to win the championship. With that kind of pressure on their backs, the Mustangs only went 7-3 in the regular season and finished in second place behind Exeter in Division 1.     Submitted by Amy Wittorff The 2015 Twin Valley Middle School girls Track and Field team went undefeated 7-0 and also won the Oley Al Knabb Relays, The Wilson girls only County Championship and the overall Governor Mifflin County meet. This team has gone 13-1 in the last two years under the leadership of Coach Greg Linsky who is the only coach for all 54 middle school girls for both track and field events, a physical education teacher at Honey Brook Elementary Center and a father of two...

    Kreitz finishes with a flurry at Kutztown U.

    It turned out to be a very good way for Boyertown grad Travis Kreitz to end his college baseball career. He hit .302 in his senior season at Kutztown University this spring, led the team in home runs with eight, and was tied for second on the team n doubles with eight. He was third on the team with 17 RBIs and scored 13 runs in 38 games played.

This award is given to students who exemplify the selfless dedication to school and sports that define the leaders of tomorrow.
