Twin Valley High School’s Nigel Hill set a new meet record of 22.47 seconds in the boys’ 200-meter dash during the Chester County Indoor Track & Field Championships Jan. 13 at Ursinus College in Collegeville.

Hill broke the old standard of 23.28 seconds, which was set by Downingtown West’s Zach Barr in 2012.

Tim Givens of Twin Valley also earned a first place in the boys’ 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:44.64.

In the boys’ 800-meter run, Twin Valley’s Colin Geary placed second in 2:04.50. Raider teammate Kris Lizins finished fourth at 2:06.15. Avon Grove’s Nate Howard won the event with a 2:04.18 clocking.

Twin Valley’s Colby Geary finished fourth in the boys’ mile with a time of 4:48.41. Spring-Ford’s Paul Power captured first place with a time of 4:35.53.

Owen J. Roberts’ Holly Sullivan set two new meet records in winning the girls’ 55-meter hurdles and the girls’ 400-meter dash.

Sullivan won the 55 hurdles in 8.49 seconds during the finals to top the 8.60 she set during the trials. The previous mark of 8.81 was set by Phoenixville’s Lauren Terstappen back in 2009.

In the 400, Sullivan ran a 58.49 to snap the standard of 59.0 set by West Chester Henderson’s Jessica Weaver back in 2005.
