After competing the final two meets of their indoor track season, the Boyertown girls indoor track and field team will be sending four girls to the Pennsylvania High School State Meet, to be held at Penn State University on Saturday, March 1.
At the PTFCA Carnival Meet, the distance medley relay team of Erin Akins, Alex Heuer, Jillian Bertino and Emily Schumaker qualified for states with a time of 13:12.36.
In addition, three girls qualified for states with individual events. At the Meet of Champions Erin Akins qualified for states with a 800 meter time of 2:22.67. Jillian Bertino qualified for states with a 400 meter time of 1:00.78, and Alex Heuer had qualified with a triple jump of 36.11.
