Several Tri-Valley YMCA swimmers placed in the top 12 at the 2014 Pa. YMCA State Swimming Championship Meet. Each swimmer swam a career-best time.

In the 10-and-under age group. Luke Rautzhan had a stellar performance, not only standing on the podium, but smashing a TRVY record. He finished fifth in the boys 10-and-under 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:16.04 dropping 3.62 seconds from his previous best time, eighth place in the boys 10-and-under 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.17, and dropping 0.12 seconds in the boys 10-and-under 50 yard freestyle, finishing in 14th place with a time of 30.11. Luke broke the 1996 boys 9/10 200 yard freestyle record by 3.01 seconds.

Peyton Rautzhan also had an excellent meet by finishing fourth in the girls 10-and-under 50 yard freestyle with a time of 28.50, dropping 1.14 seconds from her previous best time. She placed seventh in the girls 10-and-under 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:05.88, and 20th in the girls 10-and-under 50 yard butterfly with a time of 35.19.

Sarah Fisher swam a career-best time in the girls 10-and-under 100 yard individual medley with a time of 1:19.94, placing 19th.

The 10-and-under girls ended the meet by capturing fourth place in the 200 yard freestyle relay. The team consisted of Peyton Rautzhan, Maren Schermerhorn, Lauren Paules and Sarah Fisher. They lowered their previous best time by 4.45 seconds, with a time of 2:02.18.

Michaela Hersh swam two best times in the 100 tard freestyle and 200 yard individual medley. She finished in 19th place with a time of 59.94 in the girls 11/12 100 yard freestyle, and 20th place with a time of 2:30.18 in the girls 11/12 200 yard individual medley.

Nikolette Nolte, a double winner, swam a career best time and finished fourth in the girls 13/14 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.33. She placed ninth in the girls 13/14 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:20.52, and 15th in the girls 13/14 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:05.76.

TRVY sent seven swimmers to this state meet (five swimming individual events, and one relay team). Out of 74 Pennsylvania YMCA teams, TRVY finished in 36th place. The girls alone ranked in 26th place.
