Mansfield University field hockey student-athlete Laura Lawson, Morgantown, a Twin Valley grad, was been named NFHCA Division II Scholar of Distinction for dedication in the classroom.
The NFHCA Scholars of Distinction award recognizes Division II field hockey student-athletes who’ve achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2013-14 academic year.
She was part of a group of 15 Mountaineers who were named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and achieved the third highest GPA in Division II field hockey.
