The 422 Sports Complex hosted a roller derby doubleheader on Saturday, June 7.
In the first bout, featuring men’s roller derby, the New York Shock Exchange’s Dow Jones Average took on the Penn Jersey Hooligans. The unofficial final score, according the team’s Facebook page, was 461-58, with Dow Jones Average taking the win.
The NYC team traveled to Pennsylvania to take part in the event.
The doubleheader was hosted by the Pottstown Roller Derby Rockstars who who played again State College Area Roller Derby (SCAR) in the second bout.
The final score of the second bout was 247-139, with SCAR taking the win.
On the Saturday, June 28, the Rockstars will be hosting a fundraiser from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Applebee’s in Pottstown.
The league invites the community to join them for an ‘all-you-can-eat flapjack breakfast.’ Tickets are currently available.
