The Boyertown Bear-Paws completed a successful season last week when they were eliminated from the state regional tournament. The Bear-Paws were 3-2 in the tournament and finished the season with an overall record of 30-6.
The Bear Paws won the first game of the tournament on July 22, 6-0 over Lehigh. They followed that up with a 2-0 shutout over Perkiomen Valley.
In the winners bracket it final, Spring City handed Boyertown its first loss of the tournament, 4-3, but the Paws rebounded with a 9-2 win over Norchester.
But Perk Valley ended the Bear Paws’ season on July 26, with a 9-6 win over Boyertown.
