The Blacktop Jr. Basketball League held its championship game at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown on Aug. 13. Two Guys Plumbing, a local team from Kutztown, came out on top to win the championship in the team’s second year of existence.

“Last year we got beat up pretty good in this league,” said head coach Heath Fegely. “But the boys were determined to prove themselves this year. We got together one or two times a week all year and they worked real hard.

“They started playing well together and when needed, found ways to beat teams. We were very aggressive defensively and never quit. These boys are a ton of fun to coach and a great bunch of athletes.”

The team finished the season with a record of 13-1. The only loss was to a team that was undefeated at the time the game was played.
