Twin Valley U-11 soccer club team places second in DELCO League Division 4

The Twin Valley Under-11 Soccer Club’s Vipers team finished in second place in the DELCO League Division 4 with a record of eight victories, two losses and one tie for 25 points. The squad was coached by Mark Moyer and Scott Gardner.

Twin Valley finished behind only first-place FC Brandywine’s Elite 11’s, who compiled an 8-1-2 record for 26 points. There are 12 teams in the circuit.

The winning goal and sole goal of the game that moved Twin Valley into second place was scored in a game by Chase Rottevee.

The rest of the teams in the league were as follows: Marple Newtown Soccer, Association, Strikers, 7-1-3, 24 points; Greater Chester Valley Soccer Association, Arsenal, 7-4-0, 21 points; Lionville Soccer Club, Hammers, 5-4-2, 17 points; Radnor Soccer Club, Samba, 5-4-2, 17 points; Haverford Soccer Club, Torpedo, 4-5-2, 14 points; Delaware Union, ’03 Navy, 3-6-1, 10 points; West Chester United Soccer Club, WCUSC Eagles ’03B, 3-6-1, 10 points; Concord Soccer Association, Crush, 2-7-2, 8 points; King of Prussia Soccer Club, Prussians, Blue, 2-7-2, 8 points; and Southern Chester County Soccer Association, U11 Dragons ’03, 1-8-2, 5 points.

Twin Valley previously won the DELCO championship in the spring of 2014, fall 2013 and spring 2013.

The Vipers also competed in three tournaments this year: the Battle At Hilltop in August, the Dillsburg Dual Shootout in October and the Hempfield Adidas Fall Classic in November.
