Paralympic skier Tyler Carter, a native of Topton, recently was back East to compete in the Empire Games at Lake Placid, N.Y., on Whiteface Mountain, at The U.S. Olympic Center. Tyler won two Bronze medals and a Silver medal.

The week before that he was Camelback Mountain as Head Race Coach for the PA Center for Adaptive Sports Ski Camp.

This week he is in Aspen, Colo., for the speed half of the U.S. Nationals.

The end of this month he heads to Panorama, Canada for the World Championships, competition level, this is equivalent to the Paralympics. Competitors are from around the world, just not all the extra fanfare.
