Bryan Crim had a big season with the Walsh men’s lacrosse team and the junior was rewarded by being named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division II first team last Thursday.

Crim (Exeter Township) led the Cavaliers out of North Canton, Ohio, with 38 goals and 10 assists for 48 points. The goals and points are a Walsh single-season record. The 5-foot-7, 170-pound midfielder also holds the career goals (74) and points (106) records.

Crim scored four goals in four games and two or more in 13 out of 15 contests. He also chipped in with 27 ground balls and four caused turnovers.

“The ECAC is comprised of players from several of the top-ranked teams in the nation and for Bryan to be voted to the first team shows just how hard he worked this year,” coach Alex Skvarch said. “He was the focal point of our offense and the focal point for our opponents’ defensive game plan and he still posted 48 points and became the first player in team history to accumulate 100 points.”

Despite Crim’s performance the Cavaliers finished 5-10 overall and 2-6 in ECAC play. But the coach sees better days ahead.

“With the experience and growth he has shown this past season, I know that with his work ethic, Bryan will only continue to achieve even more next year and help us in our next step as a lacrosse program,” Skvarch said.
