WHITING to share the stage with Morgantown’s 3 Shades of Blue at Frog Hollow Farm

Phoenixville-bred rock sensations Coastalrise, now known as WHITING, and Morgantown’s 3 Shades of Blue, semi-finalists on America’s Got Talent 2015, will share center stage at Phoenixville’s Frog Hollow Farm on Nov. 20 to debut a hometown concert. The farm sponsored concert marks the beginning of an era by showcasing musical talent from the Greater Philadelphia Area.

“We want to make ‘good’ music in every sense of the word,” said Timmy Whiting, frontman of WHITING, in a feature interview on NPR.

Timmy Whiting established his musical career at the age of 13 when receiving news that he had won a competition to play at Bonaroo, a popular U.S. musical festival that is host to more than 85,000 concert-goers. Because of his age, they denied him the chance to play but gained him industry exposure by selling his album on-site paired with VIP access to meet main performing act that year. Since exposure, Timmy Whiting has led Christian rock band, Coastalrise, since age 15.

Coastalrise gained merits of “Best Indie Performer” at Creation and Fandana Festivals; features on NPR, WXGN New Jersey and WSTW Delaware; and toured nationwide. At age 20, Coastalrise turned WHITING; the band approaches fandom featuring the listed merits and experience of Timmy Whiting. WHITING’s single release, “Fools Rule,” is available on Nov. 10 through all major music distributors.

When asked to explain what the Nov. 20 concert means to him, Timmy said, “It’s about getting together our family, community and friends to enjoy life and to live it to the fullest. The only way I can think of doing it is by listening to some awesome jams by some awesome people.”

The concert’s lineup includes area-specific artists in 3 Shades of Blue and JANE, jazz-pop artist with showings at local venues such as Chaplin’s in Spring City, Steel City Coffeehouse in Phoenixville, University of Valley Forge and Proximity Cafe in Pottstown.

Frog Hollow Farm’s doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are exclusively hosted by iTickets. For more concert and ticket information, please visit whereiswhiting.com/tickets.
