Members 1st Federal Credit Union opened its second Berks County branch — at 4363 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township — on Monday.
It is located in the shopping center with Boscov's Outlet Center and Panera Bread, adjacent to Exeter Commons.
This is the Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County-based credit union's 55th branch. Its other Berks location is at 516 E. Lancaster Ave., Cumru Township, which opened at the end of 2020.
In a press release, Members 1st said it remains focused on expanding its footprint to continue serving members in branches across Central Pennsylvania. Following the Exeter branch, the credit union plans to open one more branch in Berks County that will be located in the Sinking Spring area and eventually move into Lehigh Valley.
“A personalized, unparalleled member experience is always our top priority,” credit union spokesman Mike Wilson said in a statement. “One way we can continue to deliver this to our members is by providing them with convenient locations where they can stop in to talk with our dedicated, local associates about their financial goals — and we’re committed to helping them achieve those goals.”
