Fleetwood Police investigated a burglary at Centerline Auto Sales in Fleetwood, as well as the theft of a vehicle and handgun from the business.
Fleetwood Borough Police report that at about 8:34 p.m. on Jan. 4, police responded to report of a burglary at Centerline Auto Sales, 314 N. Franklin St., Fleetwood. During the burglary, a vehicle was stolen that was parked inside the business. Additionally, a handgun was also reported to have been stolen from the business during the burglary.
Information was obtained through investigation that the burglary and theft of vehicle and handgun was alleged to have been committed by Aaron Dingle, 26, of Alburtis, who was reported to be in possession of the vehicle.
At about 10 p.m., the stolen vehicle was observed by Sgt. Ulshafer and stopped in the 200 block of East Main Street, Fleetwood. Dingle was found to be the operator of the vehicle and was subsequently taken into custody.
Located inside the stolen vehicle was a loaded handgun taken during the burglary.
Dingle was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief and related offenses and transported to the Berks County Central processing center to await arraignment.
