Sheetz New Smithville

Sheetz will open its newest location near New Smithville, Lehigh County, on Wednesday.

Sheetz is opening another store along the Interstate 78 corridor. The Altoona-based convenience store will unveil its location at the New Smithville exit on Wednesday.

Located at 2298 Golden Key Road, the store is near the intersection of I-78 and Route 863 in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County, just over the line from Berks.

The store, which will be open 24 hours, seven days a week, will feature gasoline, coffee, food and other convenience store items.

To commemorate the opening, Sheetz said it will donate $2,500 to Helping Harvest, an organization that collects, purchases, stores, and distributes over seven million pounds of food annually to the more than 320 programs which feed the hungry in Berks and Schuylkill counties.

Additionally, Sheetz will donate $2,500 to the Special Olympics of Pennsylvania.

This will be Sheetz's fifth Lehigh Valley location and second in Lehigh County.

Sheetz currently operates 616 stores across Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland. It has nine locations in Berks County.
