Dear Boyertown Area School District Community:As most of you are probably aware there has been much concern raised about the possibility of the Boyertown Area Senior High changing to some type of block schedule. We want you to know that we have heard your concerns about changing our high school schedule. While we do believe that we need to establish ways to better meet the needs of all of our students at the high school, we have determined that we will not recommend implementing block scheduling. There were some questions about having block schedule in grades seven and eight for science and social studies and we will not recommend that change either.

We do have a committee that has investigated utilization of time at the high school and we will continue to examine possible ways to make our traditional schedule stronger. We will, however, remain with a traditional schedule. We invite the community to be involved in providing input about making our traditional schedule more effective. If you are interested in being involved in these discussions, please contact our high school principal, Mr. Dan Goffredo at 610.473.3680 or email him at

We thank the community for their interest in the education of the Boyertown Area School District students.

Sincerely, Harry W. Morgan, Ed.D. Superintendent
