Alice R. (Chabot) Buczkowski, 76, Sinking Spring, passed away Aug. 14, 2008, at 12:45 a.m. at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of her first husband, Dean W. Sanborn; and second husband, Stanley Buczkowski.Born April 26, 1932, in Brownington, Vt., she was a daughter of the late Phillip J. and Dora M. (Duchesneau) Chabot. She was a 1950 graduate of Orleans High School, Brownington. Alice was a devout member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of the women's society at the church, and member and past treasurer of Right to Life group. Alice enjoyed gardening, sewing and square dancing. Her passion was taking care of her family and helping others. She is survived by her three sons: Robert Dean Sanborn, and wife, Melinda, West Nyack, N.Y.; Danny Warren Sanborn, and wife, Marian, Matamoras; and Dennis A. Sanborn, and wife, Sophath, Otisville, N.Y.; and a daughter, Lori M. (Sanborn), wife of Daniel Westman, Sinking Spring. Other survivors include two brothers, Raymond Chabot, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Oscar Chabot, Kosota, Minn.; and a sister, Louise A. (Chabot) Hollis, Palm Bay, Fla.

There are also five grandchildren: Jared, Arran, James Dean, Sage and Courtney. She was predeceased by a son, John P. Sanborn, in 1985.

Services were Monday, August 18, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in Bean Funeral Home & Crematory, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Sinking Spring. Contributions were made to Right to Life Program, 512 10th St. NW, Washington, DC 20004; or Dominican Sisters of Hope, 320 Powell Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550.
