Andrew N. "Ace" Dietrich, 64, Greenwich Township, died Aug. 6, 2008, at 11 p.m. in the hospice unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, where he was a patient since that afternoon. He was taken there from Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem, where he was a patient for eight weeks.He was the husband of Linda E. (Ernst) Dietrich, to whom he was married 45 years.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of Bertha T. (Seweryn) Dietrich, Greenwich Township, and the late Nevin C. Dietrich.

He was senior executive vice president of East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyons Station, where he worked for 40 years, last working Dec. 5, 2007.

He was a 1961 graduate of Hamburg High School and attended Millersville State College for two years.

He was a member of the Pennsylvania Cutting Horse Association, National Cutting Horse Association, East Coast Cutting Horse Association and Hamburg Game Association.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother are two sons, Michael L. Dietrich and Mark A. Dietrich, both of Greenwich Township, and three daughters: Lisa N. (Dietrich), wife of James D. Stewart, Windsor Township; Kelly S. (Dietrich) Lavigne, Hamburg; and Marcy K. (Dietrich), wife of John T. Hungerford, Windsor Township.

Other survivors include a brother, Ronald C. Dietrich, and wife, Janet, Telford, Montgomery County.

Andy is also survived by six grandchildren: Jennifer Bettencourt, Austin Dietrich, Colton Dietrich, Kayleigh Hungerford, Hannah Hungerford and Ronald Lavigne III, and two great-grandchildren, Michael Polofsky and Tonianne Bettencourt.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Shane C. Stewart. Services were held at the convenience of the family.
