An autopsy was inconclusive in determining the cause of death of a Hamburg man whose body was found along the Schuylkill River in Tilden Township, acting Berks County Coroner Jonn M. Hollenbach said Wednesday.

A pathologist ordered toxicology tests to try to determine the cause of death of Chad Blackston, 49.

Troopers from the Hamburg station responded Sunday shortly after 11 a.m. to the 100 block of Hill Drive after someone reported finding a body on the western edge of the river across from Route 61 near Hamburg.

Investigators identified the deceased as Blackston. He was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m. Sunday by Deputy Coroner Jason Kantner.

Hollenbach said Blackston appeared to have been dead no more than a day and there were no signs of injury.

An investigation is continuing.
