Berks County's Summer Concert Series brings to town a summer long whirlwind of musical performances by some of the most accomplished and creative artists in our area. Getaway this summer to Gring's Mill Amphitheater in Wyomissing, relax by the lake at Kaercher Creek Park in Hamburg or visit our beautiful Hunsicker's Grove in Mertztown!Enjoy Basic'ly Brass on June 8th at the Gring's Mill Amphitheater. This "classically trained" quintet will entertain you with a music selection from many genres. Their motto is "from Bach to the Beetles and Beyond!

The Toad Creek Ramblers perpetuate old time musical traditions on June 15th at the Gring's Mill Amphitheater. Enjoy some old-timey, folk, country, gospel, bluegrass and hoedown music. They play a variety of instruments, including fiddle, banjo, guitar, autoharp, and bass. Visit their website at

The air at Gring's Mill Amphitheater will be filled with music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's on June 22nd. Cruise on over for PA's hottest oldies band, Cruisin' Down Memory Lane. Enjoy music from Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, the Righteous Brothers and the Everly Brothers, Patsy Cline and more!

This special Saturday evening concert on June 28th at Gring's Mill Amphitheater features the Air National Guard Band of the Mid-Atlantic. You will hear an exciting brand of patriotic music, classical, swing favorites, show tunes and other kinds of selections considered the "gold standard" of the concert band repertoire. The program has something in it to please every listener, and let's not forget a toe-tapping march or two. The final portion of the program is sure to inspire patriotism in audiences everywhere, with a musical tribute honoring America's servicemen.

Don't miss Maggie Spike on June 29th at Hunsicker's Grove, a husband & wife singer/song-writer duo from the Oley Valley will perform their mixed bag of musical styles: Folk, Rock, Jazz, Celtic and Reggae with passionate appeal & soulful insight.

The Volunteers of the United States Army Field Band perform on Wednesday, July 2nd at Gring's Mill Amphitheater. Come out and enjoy a special Wednesday evening Patriotic Concert! The Volunteers is the United States Army's premier touring show band. Since its inception in 1981, this energetic and talented group has performed in all fifty states, Puerto Rico, Central America, and Europe. The band seamlessly mixes jazz, fifties favorites, and Motown classics at family-oriented shows while also focusing on rock, country, and pop hits at concerts for young Americans. The mission of The United States Army Field Band is to "carry into the grassroots of our country the story of our magnificent Army."

Last year, Number Nine brought record numbers to the Gring's Mill Amphitheater. Join Pennsylvania's premier all Beatles band again this year on July 6th. For almost ten years, Number Nine has been delighting audiences in Berks County and the surrounding areas with the finest in live Beatles music from every aspect of the great band's career. So don't miss your chance to let Number Nine take you on a nostalgic trip back, back to where you once belonged - and be prepared to sing along!

Help us welcome the Pretzel City Dixieland Jazz on July 13th to the Gring's Mill Amphitheater. Placing first in the North American Dixieland Competition in 1991 has made this band a popular choice throughout Pennsylvania. Playing at various venues across PA, this group dedicates themselves to preserving the tradition of great Dixieland Jazz Music.

Bring your dancin' shoes to enjoy this concert in the park! Joe Soltysik visits Kaercher Creek Park on July 20th. Listen to the sounds of Big Band, 50's rock & roll and much more, as Joe and his band entertain you.

NEW!! Celtic Concert Event featuring The Martin Family Band and Ken Gehret & Irish Mist on July 27th from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at the Gring's Mill Amphitheater. The Martin Family Band of musicians (and dancers) brings new energy to the Celtic Music and Dance scene, featuring Irish and American fiddle tunes, along with numerous Irish step dance routines. Ken Gehret & Irish Mist specialize in traditional, as well as modern Celtic music. Irish Mist has been proud to present their brand of Celtic music to audiences in the greater Philadelphia area.

The sounds of the Reading Pops graces the Gring's Mill Amphitheater on August 3rd. This professional 55-piece orchestra performs all over Berks County and we are pleased to have them in our park. You will hear a wide variety of music including recognizable classics and overtures, as well as popular tunes and swing music. Enjoy performances musicals featuring some talented Berks County Youth with the Pops.

Enjoy a fabulous '40's Big Band concert featuring Let's Dance! the orchestra on August 10th at the Gring's Mill Amphitheater. You may have seen them, or danced to their music at the World War II Weekend. Last summer they played a great concert at Hunsicker's Grove, and the crowd wanted them back. Come see them for their Gring's Mill debut.

Hymn Sing featuring Brass in Praise, a 50-piece brass ensemble, performing on August 17th at the Gring's Mill Aphitheater. Join them for hymns, gospel songs and contemporary praise songs, as they play their 11th consecutive performance at the Hymn Sing. Presented by the Reading-Berks Conference of Churches. Contact Rev. Hunsicker's Grove will come alive on August 24th with the sounds of big band, swing, country, "light jazz" and even some old-time rock & roll. After Hours a 3-piece band will entertain you, and get your toes a-tappin' for our end of the summer concert.
