The swimming area at Blue Marsh Lake was reopened Monday, Aug. 5, after high bacteria levels forced it to be closed Friday, Aug. 2, the Army Corps of Engineers announced.
The beach at the Dry Brooks Day Use Area is tested daily for water quality.
Lake closures most often occur after heavy rains, a park ranger said.
Some swimmers disregarded warnings of high bacteria over that weekend.
