The 2nd annual Brandywine Heights High School’s National Art Honor Society Induction and High School Art Show was held on April 6.

Students that are inducted each year need to meet the Chamber’s requirements which are a 3.0 cumulative GPA, 10 hours community service, attend art club meetings regularly, and participate in our events such as The Memory Project, Healing Through the Arts Exhibition/Competition and our annual craft show and sale.

This year 44 high school students grades 9 through 12 were inducted including, 18 new inductees, 26 2nd year inductees, twelve of which are seniors, who will be recognized at graduation. The ceremony highlighted this year’s NAHS Italy trip that 30 students attended, as well as student recognition for awards won throughout the year. Seniors pursuing art degrees were also recognized.

The 2016-2017 Art Club Officers are President Lydia Jordache, 12th grade; Vice President Savanna Pott, 11th grade; Secretary Leslie Grossman, 10th grade; and Treasurer Madilyn Frack. The NAHS Advisors are Brandywine Heights High School art teachers Dr. Mark Graham and Ms. Shara Sweitzer.
