Hamburg Borough Police Department reported the following occurrences:Gillian Stevenson, 28, of Sinking Spring, was charged with identity theft, forgery, theft by deception and receiving stolen property.
This incident stems from what occurred on Nov. 7 and Nov. 26, 2008, where Ms. Stevenson allegedly used another person's identity to secure loans.
Shawn D. Tobias, 37, of Hamburg, was charged with simple assault and harassment. This stems from an incident that occurred on Dec. 23, 2008, at approximately 2:10 a.m. in the 100 block of Chestnut Street, Hamburg, where Tobias allegedly assaulted Elizabeth Mest, 34, of Hamburg.
A 12-year-old female and a 13-year-old female, both from Shoemakersville, were cited for criminal mischief. This originates from a Dec. 12, 2008 incident in the Hamburg Area Middle School.
Sara Nester, 18, and a 16-year-old female, both from the Bernville area, along with a 16-year-old female from Shillington and a 17-year-old female from the Hamburg area, were all cited for criminal mischief.
The individuals were cited for numerous incidents occurring on Nov. 8, 2008 at approximately 11 p.m. on South 2nd Street and State Street in Hamburg, where they allegedly damaged numerous vehicles and buildings by pouring chocolate syrup and mustard on them.
A reportable traffic accident occurred on Dec. 24 at approximately 1:54 a.m. on South 4th Street between Grand and Walnut streets. Ryan R. Huff, 22, form the Shoemakersville area was traveling south on 4th Street when his vehicle drifted to the right, causing it to hit a legally parked vehicle owned by Jaclyn Zukoski of Hamburg.
Huff's vehicle continued traveling south and hit another legally parked vehicle owned by Brandon Leonti of Hamburg. All three vehicles were towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
Hamburg Borough Police were requested by State Police to respond to a reportable traffic accident on Dec. 24, 2008 at approximately 3 a.m. on Hill Road and Pleasant View Avenue in Tilden Township. Ryan M. Sayer, 21, of Hamburg was traveling west on Hill Road and failed to make the right-hand turn onto Pleasant View Avenue, causing his vehicle to veer off the road and into a stop sign.
Sayer's vehicle continued and hit a set of steel mailboxes and an overhanging roof pole.
His vehicle was towed from the scene. No injuries were reported at the scene.
Richard Gingrich, Jr., 47, of Shartlesville was charged with driving under the influence. This stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on Nov. 27, 2008 at approximately 12:29 a.m. on Route 61 and Cabela Drive in Tilden Township.
Carl Phillips, Jr., 45, of Hamburg was charged with indirect criminal contempt. This originated from an incident that occurred Jan. 5, 2009, at approximately 9:30 a.m. in the 500 block of State Street in Hamburg where Phillips allegedly violated a protection from abuse order.
Erik Scott Reed, 19, of Hamburg was charged with driving without a license, accidents involving damage to attended vehicle and duty to give information and render aid. This comes from an incident that allegedly occurred on Dec. 16, 2008 at approximately 12:18 a.m. on South 4th and Pine streets in Hamburg.
A reportable traffic accident occurred on Dec. 29, 2008 at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Route 61 in Hamburg. Stephen J. Core, 68, of Hamburg, and Thomas B. Heckler, 57, from the Bernville area were both traveling south on Route 61.
Heckler began to slow down due to traffic congestion and Core, who was behind Heckler's vehicle, failed to stop in time and hit Heckler's vehicle in the rear. Core's vehicle was towed from the scene. There were no injuries reported at the scene.
