C. Eugene Fry Jr., 64, Alsace Township, died Sept. 5, 2007, at 9:45 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since Aug. 29 after being injured in a motorcycle accident in Wyomissing.He was the husband of Joan L. (Cairns) Fry.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Carol Eugene Fry Sr. and Mildred J. (Wysel) Fry.
He was last employed in the maintenance department by Deka Battery, Lyons, retiring in 2005.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Church of Christ, Shillington; a member of Temple Fire Company and a long-time volunteer at ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.
He is also survived by a son, James M. Marshall, Watervliet, Mich.; and a daughter, Kim R., wife of Elbert Price, Hyde Park.
Other survivors include an aunt, Ida Delp, a guest at Phoebe Berks Village, Wernersville.
There are also five grandchildren: Kari, wife of Steve Bollinger; Jason, husband of Lydia Weyandt; Gene Jones; Amber, wife of Jeff Arnold; and Jamie Marshall; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton, with Pastor Chip Hartzell officiating.
Milkins Funeral Home Inc. Temple, was in charge of arrangements.
