The 7th Annual Christmas in Kutztown is coming up Saturday, Dec. 1. This small town event brings the community together to celebrate the holiday season.

The event will kick off with Breakfast with Santa at Kutztown University from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Kutztown University Foundation’s website, www.kutztownufoundation.org.

From 12 to 5 p.m., there will be a variety of activities in town including Jingle Jam Entertainment: a fun street show great for all ages, up to 60 vendors in the 200 block of Main Street, Wine Train Rides with the Allentown and Auburn Railroad (purchase tickets at allentownandauburnrr.com), Photos with Santa (no appointment necessary), and free horse drawn wagon rides.

Shops and Eateries throughout town will be offering specials and guests are encouraged warm up and support your favorite small town shops during the event.

New this year! There will be a North Pole in front of Santa, which will offer numerous free activities for kids including an ornament making station, letters to Santa, letters to local elderly homes, and free gift wrapping for gifts purchased at vendors and local shops. A Chinese Auction will also be located here with tickets available to win Christmas gifts from shops and vendors.

The event will wrap up at the train station with a community tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m.

Carolers will be singing your favorite Christmas tunes and Santa will also make an appearance!

The Allentown and Auburn Railroad will have tickets available for purchase for a special Doodlebug train ride after the tree lighting.
